Zermatt is the terminus of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn and the Glacier Express, reached by changing at Visp or Brig since the village is car-free. From the station it is a five-minute walk into the centre, with the Sunnegga funicular close by and the Gornergrat railway a little further. Geneva and Zurich airports are both roughly three and a half hours away with one change.
